Spring Break 3/31

     It was Thursday.  It was the day before spring break.  I was sitting in excel hopping the day was going to go by quickly.  I know the day is going to feel shorter because we had shortened classes.  Time was going by slow. Minutes felt like hours.  In art it should go by fast. I thought in my head. Art always goes by fast.  I thought in my head.  I hoped the day would go by fast.

Chicago Cubs or Sports 3/30

     I was picking a topic for our Chicago History project.  I wanted to do sports and more about the cubs.  If I talk about sports in general then I can’t really only talk about the Cubs.  I wasn’t sure which one to pick.  I was going over. And over and over. If what to pick because I really wasn’t sure which one to pick.  After a little bit of a debate in my head I decided to pick the Chicago Cubs for my Chicago History Project.

The Math Test 3/29

     We were about to start the math test.  I was a little bit nervous.  She started to pass out the math test.  I was sitting at the counter. It was kind of a weird spot. Because it was meant for a desktop computer to be there.  I could tell because it had a spot where the keyboard was sapposed to be.  I got the test the questions looked very easy.

Underneath The Door 3/28

     I had free time in social studies and I was doing my blogs.  I looked around hoping that something would grab my attention to write about.  Then I saw it.  It was the door.  I saw a crack under the door. What could you fit under there I wondered to myself.  Maybe a pencil. Or pen.

The Pen 3/27

     I was getting a pen to fill out my slice of life ticket.  I grabbed a pen.  I started to write on the ticket.  Nothing was showing.  I tried once again.  It still didn’t show anything.  I was going to try one more time.  If it didn’t work this time I was going to put the pen back and get a new one.  I started to write.  I pick up the pen.  There was still nothing.  I put back the pen and grabbed another one.  That one did work.

Dress Down 3/26

     I was in the car.  I saw some kids wearing different clothes that were out of uniform.  I got into the building.  I was at my locker and I saw a lot of kids wearing different clothes.  As I was opening my locker.  Someone asked me why I didn’t wear purple.  And I said”well I didn’t know that we were suposed to wear purple”.  I didn’t know that we were able to wear purple.

What to Choose? 3/25

     She called me to her desk.  I was a little nervous because I didn’t know what I was getting called up for.  She said that we got to choose an incentive pass since we did the go for the gold challenge.  I didn’t know what to pick there were so many options.  I was going over it in my head what do want to get.  It was harder than I thought to pick something. Then I finally decided.  I picked the switch excel class.

Space Cord or Blogs 3/24

     Dodge it dodge it. I said to myself in my head.  I was playing space cord on cool math.  I knew I had to go do a slice of life.  But I really wanted to play space cord.  So I said to myself that once I died in the game I would go do the slice of life.  I really wanted to also do blogs because I needed to get them scheduled for the weekend.  Then I realized that I also had to do a blog post for Friday too.

Ice Cream 3/23

     I saw ice cream toppings.  Are we going to have ice cream. I thought in my head.  There were bowls with spoons in them.  Those were the toppings.  I was sitting at a table with my friends.  We all thought it was ice cream.  Then we saw the teachers pull out two big tubs of ice cream. There was chocolate and vanilla.

Finally Falcon Dollars 3/22

     I was at the front. I was filling out my slice of life.  She told me to stay there for a moment.  She had falcon dollars at the table.  I wondered what they were for. They were split up into different piles.  She gave me the falcon dollars. I was so happy. Now I could go to recess.

Boss Baby 3/21

  How did we agree on Boss Baby. I thought in my head. Its not that I don’t like Boss Baby I just don’t want to watch it again. I thought.  I wish we picked Daddy Day Care or free Willy like the other blocks did.  I haven’t seen those movies so I wouldn’t mind watching them.  I thought.  Why did we pick Boss Baby.

Pitch Perfect 3 3/20

     Come on come on. I turned to my left. I saw fire. I heard girls and boys screaming. I was so confused.  Then I saw in the background that there was something on fire. Then, I saw that some girl tripped over a bee hive. I was laughing. It was so funny.

Tower of Destiny 3/19

     I jumped over the spikes. Then I had to jump over a block. All while dodging blue things that can make you lose a life. And some monsters that also could make me lose a life. So I went for it. I timed it so that when I jumped I wouldn’t hit the blue thing. I jumped and me timing was ok. I just barely missed the blue thing. I got the box to open up the latter.

The Clorox Wipe 3/18

     Once again I was looking around the room. Trying to find something to write about. Then I saw the Clorox wipe. And then I remembered when I was in math. And someone had drew on the table. So she asked someone to clean it up. Someone else was already doing it but then I asked to do it. I was washing away someone’s led.

Finished books 3/17

     I was looking for something to write about. Then I looked over at the wall where we put the title of our book it we finish it. Then I started thinking to myself. Wow we are already at 172 books.  Then I look at block three they were at 157. And block one was at 73. I thought to myself that total hasn’t been updated since a long time ago. Were probably at 400 already.

Falcon Dollars 3/16

Please pass them out.  I said in my head. I hope she passes them out. I said in my head. I really need that money for recess. She brought the bin out. Then she went right back to her desk. Then she stood up again. She started passing them out. I was so happy. I honestly could even remember the last time we got falcon dollars in the morning.

NoRedInk 3/15

     Get it right, get it right. She only needs like three more questions. Please Please just get it right. She was about to click it. I covered my eyes. She clicked it.  My eyes were still closed I didn’t want to open them. I started to uncover them. I looked at the screen, it was right. We were both saying yay.

Math 3/14

Well math should be easy I’m good at that. I don’t struggle in math.  Is it 13 questions? 14,15,16 Ugh.     Well I mean math testing last year wasn’t that hard it was only 13 questions I think.  My mind just kept going back to having to sit in excel for over an hour. Why could I just do whatever I wanted at the end. I wondered. Once again my mind wouldn’t stop going back to why is PARCC testing a thing.

PARCC 3/13

What if I have to write a long paragraph? I wondered. I really hate writing long paragraphs on test. Especially PARCC tests. But on the bright side I think that I only have to write things like that on the ELA test. I think that I will do well on the math test. My best subject is math so that shouldn’t be to hard. Oh man why did PARCC testing come so early this year.

IXL 3/12

     I was looking over the problem. It was a hard question I could tell because it had a lot of words. I was in the nineties. So I knew that if I got it wrong, sadly I would go down to eighty. And I also knew if I got it wrong it would make me really frustrated. So I went and asked my teacher Ms.Haury. She was a teacher so I knew she would help me not get it wrong. She was reading the question. We figured out the problem together. We figured out the answer. I clicked on it. We were both shocked it was wrong. About 30 seconds later we both started laughter really hard.

WINNER 3/11

     Ms.Haury was calling winners for the slice of life challenge. I really wanted to win. I wanted to get some pens. She put her hands in the box. She was pulling out the name. She was about to read it. She said my name. I was so excited I was really hoping I was going to win anyways. So when I did win I was really happy. I grabbed a box of nerds and SpongeBob stickers.

The Elephant 3/10

     I was looking for something to write about. So I looked around the room looking for something to write about. Then I found it. It was perfect. It was not something I wrote about before. It was an elephant. On the carpet there is a elephant just on the floor. It looked so sad. He was probably thrown on the floor just waiting for someone to pick him up.

Math Test Check 3/9

     I was checking my test. I made sure that I checked the front and back. I made sure I put either squared or cubed. But there was one question that I checked right before I was going to stand up. I had a mini heart attack. Oh no. I quickly then realized that I didn’t need to actually put anthing. Because I was only finding the height.

Blogger 3/8

“What do I write about”, I wondered. “This is a slice of life it shouldn’t take that long to think of something to write about” I thought. I looked around the room hoping to find something to write about. But I just couldn’t find anything to write about. Then I spent a couple of minutes thinking again. Then I realized my teacher had said that someone else wrote a blog just about them thinking of what to write about. It was perfect. So then I decided that I would write about me figuring it what to write about for the slice of life.

Working Lunch or Recess? 3/7

     I’m in a debate. “Should I go to working lunch or go to recess”, I wondered to myself.  I want to go to working lunch so I could be close to finishing my art project. But I also really want to go to recess because I have a volleyball game after school. So if I go to recess I could get some practice in, but if I don’t go to working lunch I won’t get my art project done and it’s due on Friday. I had to think about it for one or two minutes. Maybe working lunch is a better choice. But recess isn’t a bad choice either. I couldn’t decide.

The News 3/6

     I was watching the news at around five or six last night. The weather lady was saying that it was sapposed to snow. She was also saying that it was going to snow about 1.5 inches last night. Then the other news people were saying that it was also sapposed to snow a lot down by the Atlantic Ocean. They were also talking about the states like New York, North Carolina, Virginia and I think a few more states down by the coast. I turned the news off. And I heard the rain falling. And I also think that it snowed less then an inch.

Rain 3/5

     I heard drops falling. “Was it rain”, I wondered to myself. I walked into the hallway. I listened closely. It was raining I could definitely tell that it was clearly raining. It was raining pretty hard. I could tell because the rain drops were coming down fast. And because it was louder than normally. It was pouring outside.

NoRedInk 3/4

     Just this last week. I was working on my least favorite website NoRedInk. And I was doing a hard topic. I was struggling so hard to try and figure out the evidence and reasoning. But they both just seemed like the same thing. Every time I got it wrong I would just get more and more frustrated at myself. Then I was about to quit it. So I went and asked my teacher for help. She explained to me what I was sapposed to do. After that I understood it much better than I did before. I did finish it so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Locker 3/3

 I went to my locker. I was putting in my combo. I got to the last number. I tried pulling it open. It wouldn’t budge open a bit.  I put th combo in again. It still would not open. Was I putting it in wrong? Is this even my locker? I tried for a third time. Finally I got it open. I was so relaxing, but kind of mad at my self because it’s the middle of the year and it shouldn’t take my three try’s just to get my lock open.

Dress Down 3/2

I woke up this morning. I woke up a little bit later than I normally do. I had realized that today we get to dress down. I went to my dresser I looked at what I wanted to wear. It didn’t take me that long to pick out what I wanted to wear. I was really excited to wear regular clothes instead of a uniform. I finished getting ready and was out the door. And on my way to school.

The Rain 3/1

     I was leaving for school. I walked out of the house. I could see the rain falling, it was pouring.  I didn’t have an umbrella. I didn’t want to run out but I knew I had to. So I counted down from five. I counted 5,4,3,2,1 run! I ran to the car getting all wet. But I had my hood on so I didn’t get to wet.
