Captivity?

     Should Killer Whales be kept in captivity? I believe that Killer Whales should not be kept in captivity. They should live in the wild because they live longer.  It says that Killer Whales in the wild live to 50 to 80 years old.  In captivity it says that Killer Whales that have lives at SeaWorld die around 13 years old. They also don’t get to swim in as much space. Coming from swimming in a huge ocean compared to a pool, they don’t have much space to swim. Killer whales could swim around 100 miles every single day. For those reasons I believe that Killer Whales should not be kept in captivity.

Vending Machine

     Recently in my school they have put in a vending machine. It has healthy snacks. I know that there is Snapple in there. But I’m not sure what flavors though. I’m also not sure what snacks are in there either but I know that they are healthy snakes. I walked past it today and there was not much food left. I think there was three option of what to get. It seems to be very popular.

BlackFish Review

      I think that BlackFish was a very informative documentary.  They talked about how they would lie about people’s deaths. They would say that it was a trainer mistake or a trainer error. I don’t think that these killer whales should be kept in captivity. I also think that they should have taught the trainers what to do in a situation where there could be a frustrated whale. If they knew how to do things like that less people would have gotten hurt or killed. In the movie it said that they already knew that some of these killer whales have hurt people why would they still have kept them. I think they should let go all animals that are kept in cages.  Because just imagine what it would feel like to go from having the whole ocean to swim it to going to a small little concrete pool and have to be trained to do tricks for a show every day. In conclusion I think that Killer Whales and other animals should not be kept in pools and closed off areas.

Fiction vs Non Fiction

If a story is fake or not real then it is a fiction story.  If a story has facts and is real than it is non fiction.  Fiction books can also be chapter books. A fiction book has a genre in it also.  A non fiction book doesn’t have a genre or a plot in it. A non fiction book could be used to help you with research, like if you need to learn facts about a sea lion you could find a non fiction book about sea lions and it will give you facts on a sea lion. Non fiction books also have a glossary. The glossary can help you find the topics that are in the book. A fiction story has a plot too.

Winter Break ❄️

Over winter break I had a very relaxing time. I didn’t do all the things I wanted to do over break but I did a few things. Unfortunately I didn’t finish my book or read the five pages every night but I did read over the break so I completed that goal. And I also dint publish and blog posts either. I got to spend lots of time with family and friends. I was able to welcome the new year with my family and friends. I really enjoyed my break this year.

New Years Resolutions? 🎉

     New Years Resolutions. Did you pick a New Years Resolution? I know that I didn’t. A New Years Resolution is something that you promise to be committed to. It also similar to a goal. This year I decided not to pick a New Years Resolution because I know that they are hard to stick to.  Some resolutions can be more complacted than others. If one day you decide that you are going to have a lazy day and not do anything and if you have a resolution that requires you to actually get up and move around you might not complete your goal for that day. 

Winter Break

     This year we start winter break after school on December 21. I am so excited. I plan to spend the break relaxing and spending time with my family. I am planning on spending the holidays with my family.  I hope I get no homework or only a little. My goal to stay productive is to try to almost finish my book over the break. I can also be productive by reading five pages every night.  I hope you all spend time with your family. And happy holidays.
